At Explore Restore, we hold space for the whole story of healing. Scar tissue and adhesion release therapy is more than a physical practice—it’s a chance to gently reconnect with your body, release stored tension, and soften emotional layers that may have been held for months or years.
Through gentle, respectful touch and breath-centered awareness, we invite the body to let go—at its own pace. Clients often report not only physical relief, but also a deeper sense of grounding, emotional clarity, and reconnection with their own strength.
Scar tissue and adhesions form as a natural part of the healing process—but they can cause a multitude of chronic problems if left untreated, even years after surgery or injury, such as:
Pain or pulling sensations
Limited range of motion
Digestive or pelvic discomfort
Numbness, tingling, or burning
Chronic low back pain, shoulder pain, changes in gait pattern
Changes in feelings of sexual fulfillment
Emotional sensitivity or body disconnection
Body dysmorphia, changes in identity and self-esteem
Through non-invasive, hands-on therapy, we can gently work with the body’s tissues to soften, release, and re-organize scar tissue and fascial restrictions—helping restore blood flow and lymphatic drainage to the area, and increase feelings of balance, mobility, and ease.
This work is supportive for those recovering from:
Cesarean birth (C-section)
Epidural injection site
Hysterectomy or other gynecological surgery
Laparoscopic surgery (e.g., endometriosis, fibroids)
Breast surgery (augmentation, reduction, mastectomy)
Abdominal trauma or appendectomy
Injury or scar-related restriction anywhere on the body, including scars from burns
You do not need to be newly post-op to benefit. Even scars years or decades old can respond positively to this work.
