in a wild state, especially after escape from captivity or domestication.
When I think of the word feral, especially in terms of myself, I think of it more as a return to the natural state. Some of us who are 'domesticated' feel the deep longing of freedom that can only be found in nature, amongst the tall trees and in communion with others looking for the same adventure. There is great healing in the coming together of women. But some may feel timid about heading into the woods alone, don't know the trails or have anyone to go with and if this is you, you've come to the right place!
Our weekly group of 'feral females' meets in a variety of natural settings for 1.5 to 2-hours, with outings designed to nurture the mind, body, and spirit.
Each session features a peaceful walk in nature, offering space to connect with yourself, bond with other women, and appreciate the world around you with some loosely guided practices to explore or expand that feral female inside all of us. (eg. sensory awareness, breath awareness, mindfulness, finding the voice and more) *participation optional.
Whether you're seeking freedom to find yourself, meaningful connections, or simply a chance to immerse yourself in nature’s tranquility, this is the safe space to come together.
Unplug and reconnect!
*Note: Group outings will be walking only, and at a conversational pace. Some locations will offer more challenging trail conditions but accessibility and safety will be of primary concern.
